Willow and Sig Yeilding, began their family winery in 2006, after many years of enjoying wine tasting and family wine adventures. Willow and Sig's passion for wine grew as they traveled through various wine regions and pursued the craft of winemaking.
One day, Willow surprised Sig by bringing home a crusher-destemmer, and a half-ton picking bin.
Yeilding Wine was born.
The Yeildings interviewed other wine makers, took classes, and assisted in other artisanal winery harvests. Sig and Willow sourced their first fruit from neighbor and friend Stu Bewley, owner and founder of the prestigious Alder Springs Vineyard, in the Lost Coat region of Northern Mendocino County.
They also source fruit from renowned vineyards in Sonoma County, Russian River Valley, and Pine Mountain.
The winery sits at 3500 feet overlooking Noble Butte and King's Peak.
The goal of Yeilding Wine is to source the finest, sustainably grown grapes and treat the fruit as gently as possible, to enhance the expression of the grapes. The entire process is done by hand- from the picking to the bottling. We think you too will experience them as unique and delicious.
Willow also creates wine country paintings in oils and acrylics.
